Chris Brown Gets Nasty On New Summer Too Hot Single

Chris Brown plans to “wet up” the summer with his new single, “Summer Too Hot.” Released on Friday (June 23), the track will lead into Breezy’s forthcoming eleventh studio album. Little details are known about the LP just yet, but the superstar singer previously said it will be “just the right amount of magic to digest.”

“I blew it all on her, I get it right back/She put it all on me, I couldn’t pipe that,” he sings on the track. “She loves when I pull on it when it’s tied back/You know it’s hard to get up out it, I get sidetracked.”

The album will follow June 2022’s Grammy-nominated Breezy LP, which featured appearances from the likes of Lil Wayne, and Anderson. Paak, Lil Baby, EST Gee, Jack Harlow, Tory Lanez, Lil Durk, and more. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 72,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week.

While no features are confirmed just yet for CB11, there may be a song with Ciara – as Chris revealed he’d been working on a “fire” new collaboration with the “Goodies” singer in April.

Fans may be excited by the news, but collaborating with Breezy can sometimes spawn controversy. Chlöe Bailey was met with major backlash over their song together, so it’s unclear what the response will be to the news about his upcoming track with CiCi. Lil Dicky, however, doesn’t regret his collaboration with Chris Brown on 2018’s “Freaky Friday.”

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Dave star said he stands by his decision to work with Chris, despite criticism – noting that because of the collab’s success, allowed him to create his 2019 charity single, “Earth.” The track included Justin Bieber, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, and Kevin Hart, among others.

“I love that song. I still love that song. It went to No. 1 in multiple nations, and without that song, I don’t know that I could have made [a charity single] like ‘Earth,’ where I raised, like, $3 million [to fight against climate change],” he told THR.

According to the Pennsylvania native, he does not take the criticism personally since he knows that his heart is “good.” He continued: “I know that my heart is good. I really do. I don’t lose sleep at night about my heart. And you can never be perfect, and sometimes I’ll still be dumb and unaware, but I really do care so much about doing the right thing.”

The rapper added: “And listen, I get why someone wouldn’t like a Lil Dicky song, but I’d never be ok with someone being like, ‘That guy’s an asshole,’ or ‘That guy’s a piece of sh*t.’ I’ve never had that experience as Dave Burd, the man, so for my art to cause that reaction, my God, it really hurts me.”
