Kim Jayde Shines on the Global Stage with Forbes, Prepares to Launch New Episodes of Her Hit Sneaker Show!

Kim Jayde

Johannesburg, 30 September 2024 – Award-winning media personality Kim Jayde continues to push boundaries, proudly representing her African roots as she rises to global prominence. Fresh off an eye-catching feature in Dossier Magazine and her role as host of the new YouTube series Taste of Home—which spotlights the homes of South African icons like Connie Ferguson, DJ Zinhle, and Gert Johan Coetzee—Kim recently made her mark in the USA. She landed in Cincinnati, Ohio, to attend the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit.

At the summit, Kim connected with fellow 30 Under 30 alumni from across the world while enjoying insightful talks and performances from influential figures like Big Sean, Metro Boomin, Shaboozey, and poet-author Rupi Kaur. The event highlighted innovation and entrepreneurship, providing Kim a platform to share her inspiring journey as an African businesswoman making waves in fashion and entertainment.

During her time in the USA, Kim also took the opportunity to collaborate with Phil Lipschutz, the Founder and Owner of the trendy sneaker brand Unheard Of. Together, they filmed two special episodes of her hit YouTube series Kickin’ It with Kim Jayde, set to air in October 2024. These episodes will feature exclusive insights into Unheard Of’s collaborations with Adidas and a sneak peek at their upcoming product launches. Kim and Phil also open up about their entrepreneurial journeys, touching on important topics like mental health, overcoming imposter syndrome, and building successful brands despite the challenges.

Kim’s pride in her Zimbabwean roots and her South African base shines through in every project she takes on. Whether through her work in media or fashion, she consistently celebrates her heritage and serves as a role model for others. Her vibrant energy and unshakable passion continue to inspire many, reinforcing the importance of representation and proving that creativity transcends borders. This message resonated loud and clear at the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit.

“When I was growing up, it wasn’t considered cool to be African. We always looked to the West to define fashion, music, and pop culture,” Kim shared. “But in recent years, that has completely changed. Now the world is watching us, and that gives me an incredible sense of purpose and drive—to be part of the global narrative of what Zimbabweans, South Africans, and African women are achieving. We’re doing some truly innovative and inspirational things!”

With more exciting projects on the horizon, Kim Jayde continues to lead with purpose, passion, and pride.
